Hello, I’m Dr. Gegi Ra-El, the Founder and Executive Editor of NationalEdTalk.com. I created this platform because I truly believe that the conversations we have about education—what’s working, what isn’t, and what our students really need—can spark real change.

I’ve spent more than 20 years as a teacher and administrator, and throughout that time, one thing has stayed constant: my commitment to making sure every student has access to a high-quality education. My work centers on the issues that matter most to me—access, quality, affordability, and diversity—and on bringing educators, families, and communities together to rethink how we support students.

I earned my Ed.D., Ed.S., and M.A. from Lindenwood University, and those experiences shaped my passion for leadership, collaboration, and educational equity. Through NationalEdTalk.com, I get to connect with educators, parents, and advocates across the country, sharing resources and elevating conversations that help move our schools forward, especially in communities that have historically been underserved.

NationalEdTalk’s mission is simple: to bring people together to imagine and build an education system where every child can thrive. I’m honored to help lead that work—and I hope you’ll join the conversation as we continue pushing for the kind of schools all children deserve.
